Harvard is Calling is a meme that started in late November 2022. This meme has been circulating in the FlopTok community recently. Users would post videos and ask fascinating & hilarious questions and/or theories that confuses people in a sophisticated way. Example would be "How do scientists know sea animal is extinct when they haven't even explored half of the sea", and another one states "if ur house is on fire.. just sit in the shower.. think harder not smarter.. or whatever it is". Along with a background of Nina Dobrev's reel with her eyes moving up and down supposedly doing an Instagram Boomerang.

It began when Nina Dobrev posted an iconic Instagram Boomerang of her looking up and down (the video was since then deleted off her Instagram profile - December 6, 2022).

Suddenly, the user decided it would be fun to post a TikTok with a text stating a bizarre, humorous question using the background video of Nina with the sound Make Love - Gucci Mane & Nicki Minaj. Since then, the video went viral and people went along with the joke. "Harvard is calling babes💋", "Smart era😍", "Girl it's giving Yale, Harvard and all", "*10 missed calls from Harvard*" were all people's satirical comments in the comment section. The user who started the trend was confirmed to be @tankianagrande.
