Kristina Lee Halliwell Collins[2], known as kallmekris and kallmewhateveryouwant (born 1 July 1996), is a Canadian TikTok personality known for her comedy skits. She is a licensed hairdresser, but quit her job, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, and began posting on TikTok.[3]

Early life[]

Kristina Halliwell Collins was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on 1 July 1996[4] to mother Karalee Collins and step father John Halliwell. Her mother was pregnant with Collins during the divorce between her mother and her father. Collins is the middle child in her family. She has 5 siblings: two maternal half-siblings, two paternal half-siblings, and one full sibling. Between herself and her full-sibling, she is the youngest. When Collins was 14, she began getting small jobs, one of them being cleaning houses, she later became a self-employed hairdresser.[4]

Career[]

Before posting on TikTok, Collins was a hairdresser based in Vancouver, Canada.[5] Collins worked as a crew member on the CW's Riverdale as a hairdresser.[4] In April 2020, Collins quit her job as a hairdresser due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. She stated that she liked making videos and due to being unemployed, she now had the time to. Collins created an account on TikTok and started posting on the app on 9 April 2020. After a few weeks went by, she started picking up lots of followers. In December 2020, she was able to go back to being a hairdresser, she began doing both TikTok and hairdressing. She decided to pick between TikTok and hairdressing and chose TikTok.[4]

Her brand partnerships on TikTok include Vessi[6], Google Pixel 6[7], Lifetime TV[8], President's Choice[9], and Amazon Prime Video[10]. She has also made videos on YouTube with Doctor Mike, a board certified family medicine physician on YouTube and TikTok[11][12], and Philip DeFranco, for his podcast "A Conversation With"[4], on their respective channels. She first posted to her YouTube channel on 11 August 2020. Amongst other videos, she occasionally posts compilations of her TikTok videos to her YouTube channel for those that don't have the app. In June 2021, Collins announced that she was gifted the Gold YouTube Play Button, awarded for reaching 1 million subscribers on YouTube.[13] In August 2020, Collins created a side account on TikTok with the username @kallmewhateveryouwant, just for fun. As of January 2022, through her side account she has gathered 10.6 million followers with 126.4 million likes.[14]

By the end of 2021, Collins earned $4.75 million through TikTok ad partnerships.[5] As of January 2022 she has over 42 million followers on TikTok, making her the most followed TikTok creator in Canada[3], and is the 20th most followed creator on TikTok. Collins has stated that she does not make money through just making videos on TikTok as Canada does not have a creators fund.[4] As of January 2022, only creators from the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy are eligible for the TikTok Creator Fund.[15]

Personal life[]

After dropping out of college, Collins decided to be a hairdresser, she originally was going to be a teacher but realised it was not the right fit for her. In 2016, she traveled by herself to Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines). In Vietnam, she went on a two-day boat trip, she cited Vietnam as her favorite place when traveling.[4] Collins stated that she drinks alcohol in moderation as her father is a recovering alcoholic, so she herself does not want to become one.[4]

Relationships[]

In 2015, she began a relationship with Aaron Brown, on 14 October 2021, she confirmed in a comment on her side account on TikTok that they broke up: "Tired of being asked if we're together ;p we're still good friends and we care for eachother dearly. Just grew apart."[16]

Health and Struggles[]

In May 2021, Collins uploaded a video talking about her mental health journey. Collins reveals that she has anorexia and was raped as a teenager, she stated that later on her ex-boyfriend Aaron Brown, helped through a lot of trauma, most of which she still struggles with.[17]

  • Collins stated that Katrina is inspired by "a tough Russian woman whose hair [she] used to cut".[18]
  • Collins stated that most props she uses were sent by fans.[18]
  • In December 2020, Collins quit hairdressing, after receiving enough income from donations for TikTok. TikTok then became her full-time career.[18]
  • Collins stated "I feel like I'm just a weirdo in my basement making videos and people are enjoying them, I think Angelina Jolie is famous. I think I am internet famous."[18]
