Rani,[1] better known by his stage name Reiley, is a Faroese[note 1] TikToker and singer.
Content & Popularity[]
Prior to TikTok, Reiley would post on Instagram. His first video on TikTok has stated to have gotten 10 million views, with him gaining 250K followers in 'a week or two'.[1] Reiley's content mainly consists of him singing covers of song in front of a solid-color background, although he has also posted content such as trends.
His single and debut 'Let It Ring' is reported to have gone viral in Korea.[2][3] The song is about Reiley not being able to cut off a person who wasn't good for him, with 'let it ring' referring to a phone call not being picked up. The song features the first licensed sample of the official iPhone ringtone.[4][1]
His song 'blah blah blah' is about trolls on social media.[5]
In 2023, Reiley entered and won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song 'Breaking My Heart', earning him the right to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom and making him the first Faroese artist to qualify for the contest.
