Controversy[]
Cultural Appropriation[]
Willow has been accused of culturally appropriating Hinduism, after a photoshoot from 2015 of her dressing up as the goddess 'Kali' resurfaced.[20]
Book[]
In 2022, an excerpt of the book 'Black Shield Maiden', a book about an African warrior and a Viking princess, written by Willow and Jesse Handler, became available online. After the excerpt, Willow and Jesse gained criticism, as some of the text in the excerpt had described Amazigh people as 'dangerous on their best day', and having 'little regard for anyone who doesn't worship the Muslim god'.[21][22][23]
